Pa. teen killed in Fulton County crash

HARRISONVILLE, Pa. -- One teenager was killed and another injured Sunday morning in a single-car crash in Taylor Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police in Fulton County.

Joshua Wilt, 14, of Harrisonville, was pronounced dead at Altoona (Pa.) Regional Hospital, Blair County Coroner Patricia Ross said Monday. He died of blunt force trauma to the chest and abdomen, she said.

Police said a 1992 Isuzu Amigo sport utility vehicle driven by a 17-year-old was traveling on North Hess Road at 12:13 a.m. when it struck an embankment. The driver, whom police did not name, and Wilt were airlifted to the hospital, police said.

Wilt was a front-seat passenger in the vehicle and was not wearing a seat belt, Ross said. The driver also was not wearing a seat belt, police said.

Wilt had no drugs or alcohol in his system, Ross said.

Police said the crash was under investigation. The investigating trooper was not available Monday night.

Fire and ambulance personnel from Hustontown, Pa., assisted police at the crash site.
