Morrow, of Hagerstown lodge, named Elks district leader

SMITHSBURG - G. Gerald Morrow, of Hagerstown Elks Lodge No. 378, was installed as the new leader of the West District of the Maryland, Delaware, and District of Columbia Elks Association at the order's 144th Grand Lodge Convention.

The convention was held July 6 through 10 in Anaheim, Calif., at which time Elks members from across the nation gathered to vote on key issues and elect new national leaders.

As the new district leader, Morrow will be responsible for working with local Elks lodges to fulfill the order's commitment to promote charity and patriotism in their communities. Morrow will also be advising local chapters in business matters and will be assisting in supervising Elks' activities.
