DAVIDSON, N.C. -- The Hagerstown PONY League 13-year-old All-Stars dropped a 15-4 decision to host Davidson-Cornelius Tuesday and were eliminated from the East Zone Tournament.

"We were leading 3-2 going into the top of the sixth inning and they scored six runs in the sixth and seven more in the seventh to put the game out of reach," Hagerstown manager Ed Kipe said.

Kipe said the team had trouble producing runs in tournament play.

"We got some hits but not timely hits," Kipe said. "We left 14 runners on base in the first game and that kind of set the tone."

Davidson-Cornelius, which defeated Hagerstown 6-1 earlier in the tournament, will now advance to the World Series in Chino Hills, California.
