HARPERS FERRY, W.Va. - At least two people were injured in an accident on U.S. 340 Tuesday evening near Chestnut Hill Road and the West Virginia-Virginia line, officials said.

One person was taken to Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Ranson, W.Va., and the other was flown by helicopter to another medical center for treatment, according to Ed Smith, operations manager for the Jefferson County Ambulance Authority.
