Hagerstown City Park, Praise at the Park, today from 6 to 8 p.m., music, food and love.

Hagerstown City Park, Outreach Ministries will focus on The Word of God during its 2008 summer series in the park Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m.

Sponsored by New Beginnings Christian Fellowship Church, the weekly events will feature free music, a message, water, snacks and books along with a helping hand for those in need.

Marlowe Assembly of God, 9045 Williamsport Pike, Falling Waters, W.Va., Evangelist Jack Hollingsworth will speak Sunday at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. on how his life changed 20 years ago when he found Jesus Christ.


United Methodist Church, off Md. 77 on Pleasant Valley Road, Ed Staeblein will speak Sunday at 7 p.m. Celia Ausherman and Laura Harbaugh will bring special music.

St. Mary's Catholic Church, 224 W. Washington St., Hagerstown, will host about 50 young people on iServe teams July 28 and 29.

iServe is an opportunity to serve at various sites in the Hagerstown area such as nursing homes, soup kitchens and food banks. Projects will include REACH, Hagerstown Rescue Mission, Holly Place, Walnut Towers, Potomac Towers, Easter Seals Daytime Adult Care, Boys and Girls Club, Food Resources and United Way.

Monsignor Stuart Swetland of Mount St. Mary's University in Emmitsburg, Md., will speak Monday at 2 p.m. in Pangborn Hall Swetland's talk will follow the annual Face the Truth tour in downtown Hagerstown, which begins at 11:30 a.m. at Washington and Walnut streets.

An House of Prayer for All People Deliverance Ministries Inc., 116 E. Race St., Martinsburg, W.Va., the Rev. Chico Hernandez will speak at revival services July 31 to Aug. 3 at 7:30 p.m. each night.
