Ed Baer, former owner of Fisher's Pharmacy, which was on Virginia Avenue in Halfway, brought in this photo of John F. Kennedy, far right, who was campaigning for president in 1960. Baer said the late Victor Cushwa, who was a prominent official in the county's Democratic Party at the time, helped bring Kennedy to the county.
