Air Force Airman Ty L. Heinbaugh, son of Albert and Kathy Heinbaugh of Hancock, graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio.

Heinbaugh is a 2006 graduate of Washington County Technical High School in Hagerstown.




Air Force Airman Jennifer N. Johnson, daughter of Gregory and Marina Johnson of Monrovia, Md., graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio.

Johnson graduated in 2002 from Urbana High School, Ijamsville, Md., and received a bachelor's degree in 2006 from the University of Maryland University College, Adelphi.




Robert M. Clontz, son of Pat S. and Robert M. Clontz of Emmitsburg, Md., graduated from the Uniformed Services University, F. Edward Hebert School of Medicine in Bethesda, Md. The graduate was promoted to the rank of captain commissioned to serve in the Medical Corps of the Air Force.

Clontz is a 2000 graduate of Catoctin High School, Thurmont, Md., and received a bachelor's degree in 2004 from Gettysburg College, Pa.




Army Pvt. Nicholas W. Roberts, son of John and Dorothy Roberts of Hagerstown, graduated from the Infantryman One Station Unit Training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga. The training consists of Basic Infantry Training and Advanced Individual Training.




Army Reserve Pvt. Andrea J. Johnson, daughter of Faith Johnson of Hagerstown, graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.

Johnson is a 2006 graduate of South Hagerstown High School.




Navy Seaman Recruit Samuel J. Woodworth, brother of David M. Goto of Frederick, Md., recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.

Woodworth is a 2004 graduate of Eleanor Roosevelt High School of Greenbelt, Md.




Craig Aaron Clopper, son of Milissa Sibley and Michael Clopper, both of Clear Spring, completed Naval Service Training May 23 at the Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.

He is a member of the Special Operations Division number 840 and will transfer to Coronado, Calif., for Navy SEAL training this August.

Clopper graduated from Clear Spring High School in 2007.
