SHHS class of '73 planning reunion

The South Hagerstown High School class of 1973 is planning its 35-year reunion. The reunion is set for Saturday, Sept. 6, at the Potomac Fish and Game Club in Downsville. Plans include dinner and music with a luau theme.

The class is planning a cruise, leaving from Baltimore Oct. 25 for Bermuda aboard Royal Caribbean's Grandeur of the Seas. Information concerning both events will be mailed to class members at the end of July.

Summer concerts

The summer concert series will continue this week at Hagerstown City Park on Virginia Avenue. The series Saturday will feature music from the band Speakeasy Boys beginning at 7 p.m. This event is co-sponsored by the Washington County Arts Council and the City of Hagerstown and the Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau. Valley Mall hosts cruise-in

Approximately 300 to 400 cars (all makes and models) will be on display at Valley Mall behind JCPenney in Hagerstown Saturday from 5 to 9 p.m. There will be a $2 donation for each vehicle displayed. Hooked on Fishing program to be held

Children ages 8 through 15 are invited to participate in the free fishing programs offered by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources. There are two sessions left for the summer season. Bundle of joy

Many congratulations on the new addition to the Kirby family ... Todd and Jennifer Kirby of Williamsport welcomed a new addition to the family, Kolton Dennis on July 3.

Mommy, Daddy and baby are all at home resting and doing very well. Many well wishes and congrats on the new bundle of joy!
