Frederick traffic advisory

July 22, 2008

The City of Frederick is beginning construction of Gas House Pike roadway improvements. This project will begin at the intersection of Monocacy Boulevard and Gas House Pike and continue east, in front of the Clustered Spires Golf Course, ending at the city limits. This project includes the construction of approximately 4,300 feet of a four-lane Minor Arterial roadway, sidewalks, and bike paths.

This project will be done in several phases, beginning with shoulder work Wednesday. Active road work will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday to accommodate construction of additional travel lanes. While traffic will be maintained in each direction at all times, motorists traveling along Gas House Pike should expect delays and are encouraged to seek alternate routes.

For additional information regarding city lane closures, please contact the Engineering Department at 301-600-1498.
