Donald and Susan Stottlemyer of Smithsburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Sandra Kae Stottlemyer, to Thomas Scott Miller, son of Dr. Thomas A. and Sandra Miller of Lake Oswego, Ore. Ms. Stottlemyer also is the daughter of the late Donna Kae Stottlemyer.

Ms. Stottlemyer is a 1991 graduate of Smithsburg High School. She is a 1995 graduate of Shepherd University and a 2003 graduate of Frostburg State University. She holds a bachelor's degree in education and a master's degree in educational supervision and administration. She is employed by Washington County Public Schools.

Mr. Miller is a 1989 graduate of Lake Oswego High School. He received a bachelor's degree in German and psychology from Linfield College in 1993, and a master's degree in German linguistics from Purdue University in 1997. He graduated from Willamette University School of Law with a doctorate of jurisprudence in 2005. He is employed by the Maryland State Teachers Association.


An August 2008 wedding is planned.


Stephanie Ann Trumpower and Charles "Denny" Durboraw Jr. announce their engagement.

Ms. Trumpower is the daughter of Jeff and Billie-jo Trumpower. She is a 2000 graduate of Washington County Technical High School. She is employed as a customer service representative with JC Ehrlich pest control.

Mr. Durboraw is the son of Denny Durboraw Sr. of Hagerstown and Sharon Durboraw of Funkstown. He is a 1993 graduate of Clear Spring High school. He is self-employed.

A Sept. 13, 2008, wedding is planned.


Stephanie Ann Wahl and Justin Lee Massagee announce their engagement.

Ms. Wahl is the daughter of Timothy and Madeline Wahl of Hagerstown and Laura Bender of Tracy, Calif. She is a 2004 graduate of South Hagerstown High School. She is employed by the Air National Guard and at JP Morgan Chase in Frederick, Md.

Mr. Massagee is the son of Pamela Dellen and Randy Massagee of Frederick. He is a 2001 graduate of Linganore High School. He is employed at Gutters for Less in Frederick.

A July 28, 2009, wedding is planned.
