Fahrney-Keedy Home plans Summer Festival on Aug. 2

BOONSBORO - Fahrney-Keedy Home and Village will host its Summer Festival 2008 on Saturday, Aug. 2, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The home is off Md. 66 in Boonsboro.

The festival will include children's games, crafts and a water park.

The Magic of Dean Burkett will provide entertainment from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

In addition, the event will include a food and bake sale, arts and crafts vendors and a petting zoo.

A landmarks search contest will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a $250 cash prize.

A classic car cruise-in will be held in conjunction with the event. The entry fee costs $2. All cars will be welcome.

There will be free parking, free admission and free activities.

Proceeds from the event will go to the Benevolent Fund for the care of Fahrney-Keedy residents.
