Family night

Tonight, starting at 6:30, enjoy a community night at Zion Lutheran Church, 35 W. Potomac St. You are invited to share your hobbies, collections and interests and enjoy ice treats and popcorn.

Movie night

This Friday is Movie Night at Calvary Temple, 147 S. Conococheague St. Please bring your favorite "finger food" and meet in the fellowship hall for a time of fellowship at 6 p.m. The movie "Joseph" will be shown at 7 p.m.

Bonanza

The Williamsport Moose 2462, on North Conococheague Street, will hold a clock bonanza Saturday. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., the meal (chicken and trimmings) will be served from 6:30 to 8 p.m., the drawing starts at 7 p.m., and the DJ will begin playing at 8 p.m. Tickets cost $25 per couple. Three tickets will be drawn for cash prizes of $50, $100 and $150. At 10 p.m., one ticket will be drawn for $500. For tickets, call the Moose Club at 301-223-7072 after 4 p.m.

New at the library

Elementary Reading Packets are available at Williams-port Memorial Library. The funding has been provided by the Williamsport Elementary School PTA as a "Class Partnership" with Washington County Public Schools and Washington County Free Library systems.

VBS

A vacation Bible school titled "God's Big Backyard" will be held July 28 through Aug. 1 from 6:45 to 9 p.m. at Calvary Temple, 147 S. Conococheague St. The classes are for ages 3 through 18 years old. For more information, call 301- 582-0512.

Crab feed fundraiser

The Williamsport Volunteer Fire and EMS will be holding a crab feed fundraiser on Saturday, Aug. 9, at the Red Men Pavilion, starting at 4 p.m. Crabs will be served from 6 to 9 p.m. Tickets cost $40 a person, which includes firemen's milk, crabs, chicken, coleslaw, corn on the cob and a DJ. You must be 21 years of age to attend. Call 301-223-8070 for tickets.

Salute to the Troops

On Saturday, Sept. 13, the Town Museum Committee is planning a Salute to the Troops. During the day, special displays and food will be available under an Army mess tent.

In the evening, a USO dance will be held with the Ray Birely Big Band and an Abbott and Costello act performing. Dinner will be held in the historic Springfield Farm Barn. Tickets for the evening event cost $25 per person or $45 per couple and will be available at Town Hall during regular business hours and the Town Museum, Springfield Lane, Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m.

Alumni picnic
