How did you get into your business, or what motivated you to start it? The owner has handled dogs for many years as a dog handler with the U.S. Army and manager of the K-9 program for the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services. He decided to open his business in response to the demand for boarding services for cats and dogs.

"It was important to me to build a facility that I would want to take my pets to stay and be properly cared for while I was out of town for the family vacation or the weekend get-away," Ocker said.
