Police Department responds to calls

Hagerstown Police responded to the following calls Wednesday:

· 6:22 a.m., scooter found in the 500 block of Salem Avenue

· 10:22 a.m., theft of steel saddles from the 400 block of North Prospect Street

· 12:07 p.m., burglary and theft of video game system and games from the 1000 block of Noland Drive

· 12:59 p.m., burglary and theft of copper pipes from the 100 block of West Howard Street

· 1:47 p.m., damage to vehicle window in the 17700 block of Garland Groh Boulevard

· 2:14 p.m., motor vehicle damaged by spray paint on West Side Avenue

· 3:40 p.m., damage to window in the 900 block of Ross Street

· 4:43 p.m., break-in and theft of two game systems, game cartridges and .45-caliber handgun in the 1000 block of Corbett Street

· 6:05 p.m., damage to vehicle and theft of tools, GPS and MP3

· 8:28 p.m., damage to vehicle window in the 200 block of Mill Street

· 8:46 p.m., burglary and theft of jewelry from the 400 block of Guilford Avenue

Copper wire stolen from cell tower site

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Troopers Friday were investigating the theft of copper wire from a cellular tower in the area of Swamp Fox Road in Guilford Township, Pa., Pennsylvania State Police said.

On Tuesday, someone took about 40 feet of the wire, troopers said in a news release.

The wire belonged to Shentel, based in Virginia.

Pool liners slashed

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Someone slashed the liners of two pools in the 11500 and 11600 block of Williamsport Pike in Greencastle, Pa., Pennsylvania State Police said.

The damage was done between midnight and 10 a.m. Sunday, troopers said in a news release.

Garbage can stolen

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - A garbage can was stolen from the 1700 block of Coldsmith Road in Shippensburg, Pa., troopers said.

Someone took the "Trash Toter" between Wednesday, July 2 and Tuesday, July 8, Pennsylvania State Police said in a news release.

The garbage can was valued at $100.

Vulgar grafitti painted in township

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Pa. - Crime Solvers on Friday was offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to the arrest of people involved with graffiti found in the 13600 block of Karper Road in Montgomery Township, Pa.

On June 15, someone spraypainted vulgar words on a home and garage, the Crime Solvers said in a news release.

Pennsylvania State Police are investigating.

Teen, 15, missing since February

The Washington County Sheriff's Department is requesting the public's assistance in finding a 15-year-old girl who has been missing for more than four months.

Katelyn Neil was reported missing Feb. 29 after she ran away from the Leitersburg Pike movie theater, and her current whereabouts are unknown, Sgt. Roy Harsh said in a news release.

She might be in Hagerstown or the surrounding areas or might have gone to the Prince George's County or Baltimore area, deputies said.

She was described as white, about 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighing about 180 pounds with shoulder-length brown hair, deputies said.

She is on medication for a medical condition and her mother is concerned for her welfare, deputies said.
