Young artists' summer workshops

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. -- Art camp for children ages 5 to 15. The program combines visual art with music and dance for a multi-media experience.

· Monday, July 14, through Friday, July 18 -- Wild Life for ages 5 to 7.

· Monday, July 21, through Friday, July 25 -- Rhyme & Rhythm for ages 8 to 10.

· Monday, July 28, through Friday, Aug. 1 --miXed MeDia for ages 13 to 15.

Washington County Museum of Fine Arts is offering free art workshops for children. Workshops are free and registration is required. Classes are for children ages 6 to 12. Children may enroll for two of the 10 classes listed:

Free GED classes

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. -- The classes are designed for adults wanting to prepare to take the GED test or adults desiring to improve their reading, math, or English language skills. Classes meet from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays; 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays; and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. Daytime clasess are open 12 months per year; evening clasess close during the month of June. Classes are free and open to adult residents of Pennsylvania ages 16 and older who are not enrolled in a public school system. Students may attend class during any of the hours that are open for students. New students may begin at any time. To enroll, just come to class.
