Two teens captured after alleged break-in at Berkeley County church

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. -- Two teenagers were who allegedly broke into Valley View Chapel Church off Nadenbousch Lane, south of Martinsburg, this morning were caught, police said.

The Berkeley County Sheriff's Department said church members saw the boys, ages 14 and 15, break in through a window.

The church members called 911 shortly after midnight and pointed out the fleeing boys when police arrived, a sheriff's department news release said.

Police said the church members had been suspicious for a while about missing items and equipment that was used, so they have been taking turns watching the church.

Police later released the boys to their parents. The boys' names were not released.
