Donna S. Rollins, 66



SEPT. 4, 1941-JULY 5, 2008

LITTLE ORLEANS, Md. - Donna Sue Rollins, 66, of Little Orleans, Md., passed away Saturday, July 5, 2008, at Washington County Hospital, Hagerstown, Md.

Born Thursday, Sept. 4, 1941, in Ohio, she was the daughter of the late John W. Lee Sr. and Mable Knapp Lee. Her first husband, John F. Rollins Sr., preceded her in death followed by her late companion, Richard D. Roberts.

She is survived by three sons, Robert Rollins Sr. and wife Shelly of West Virginia, John Rollins Jr. of West Virginia, and Joe Rollins and wife Heather of Maryland; three brothers, Charles and Judy Lee of Ohio, Louie and Wanda Lee of South Carolina, and Clarence and Rosellen Lee of Ohio; a special friend, Brenda Templeton (Nannie); seven grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.

Family will receive friends at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 10, 2008.

Interment will be held Monday, July 14, at 10:45 a.m. at Crownsville Veterans Cemetery, Crownsville, Md.

Terry R. Zullinger, 52



JUNE 21, 1956-JULY 8, 2008

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Terry R. Zullinger, 52, of 330 E. Queen St., died Tuesday, July 8, 2008, at Shippensburg (Pa.) Health Care Center.

Born June 21, 1956, in Chambersburg, he was the son of Joyce C. Cradler Zullinger of Chambersburg and the late Robert C. Zullinger.

He was a 1974 graduate of Chambersburg High School.

He worked as a bartender at Bert J. Asper American Legion Post 46 of Chambersburg, among others.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by one son, Justin Zullinger of Chambersburg; one sister, Tammy J. Zullinger of Chambersburg; and his former wife, Brenda Gamble Zullinger of Chambersburg.

A memorial service will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Chambersburg.

Arrangements are by Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home in Waynesboro, Pa.




Kathleen L. Viands, 81



APRIL 10, 1927-JULY 9, 2008

RANSON, W.Va. - Kathleen L. Viands, 81, of Ranson, died Wednesday, July 9, 2008, at Shenandoah Center in Charles Town, W.Va.

Born April 10, 1927, in Luray, Va., she was the daughter of the late Joe and Victoria Jewell Chrisman.

Her husband, Melvin Eugene Viands, died in 1985.

She retired after 25 years from Dixie-Narco in Ranson.

She was a member of Zion Episcopal Church in Charles Town.

She is survived by one daughter, Shelvy Darlington of Charles Town; one son, Robert W. Linton of Charles Town; five sisters, Edna Dodson of South Carolina, Mattie Willingham of Berryville, Va., Mary Johnston of Charles Town, and Charlotte Plum and Margaret Fiddler, both of Ranson; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home in Charles Town. Henry Christie will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens in Martinsburg, W.Va.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 6 to 9 p.m.




John D. Hoffmaster, 78



AUG. 22, 1929-JULY 8, 2008

CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - John D. Hoffmaster, 78, of Charles Town, died Tuesday, July 8, 2008, at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Martinsburg, W.Va.

Born Aug. 22, 1929, in Charles Town, he was the son of the late John Ralph Hoffmaster and Mary Ramey Hoffmaster.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, JoAnn Hoffmaster, in 2000.

He was a 1947 graduate of Charles Town High School, where he was the class president. He attended Shepherd College and American University.

He retired from the U.S. Air Force as a master sergeant. He served during the Korean War and the Vietnam War.

He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Charles Town.

He was a member of DAV, AARP and Charles Town High School Alumni.

He is survived by one son, John D. Hoffmaster of Charles Town; one brother, Richard Hoffmaster of Falling Waters, W.Va.; one grandson, John D. Hoffmaster; and one niece.

Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home in Charles Town. The Rev. Richard Kroll will officiate. Burial will be in Edge Hill Cemetery in Charles Town.

The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Marshall W. Reeder, 79



MARCH 30, 1929-JULY 9, 2008

Marshall W. Reeder, 79, of , died Wednesday, July 9, 2008, in Pittsburgh.

Born March 30, 1929, in Hustontown, Pa., he was the son of the late Clifton V. and Alice Welch Reeder.

He was a 1948 graduate of Hustontown High School. He attended Miami Dade College in Miami and graduated from Shippensburg University with a Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree in Education.

He was employed by James Buchanan Middle School for 27 years, teaching Social Studies.
