July 10, 2008|By ANDREW SCHOTZ

CLEAR SPRING - The body of a Chambersburg, Pa., man was found Wednesday afternoon in a pool at a Washington County residence, police said.

The man was identified as 53-year-old Lester Lamar Metz.

The Washington County Sheriff's Department said Metz was found floating face up in a swimming pool at 13834 Clear Spring Road at about 3:45 p.m.

Deputy C. Hose said Wednesday night that police aren't releasing any information about the circumstances surrounding the death because a medical examiner was investigating. The cause of death had not been determined.

The home is at the intersection of Clear Spring and Big Pool roads, near Clear Spring.

Maryland Department of Assessments and Taxation records online show that J. Philip Stoner owns the property.
