Two await sentencing in W.Va. on drug charges

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - On June 30, two men entered guilty pleas on drug charges in U.S. District Court in Martinsburg before Magistrate Judge David J. Joel.

· Laquan Darnell Hill, 26, of Queens, N.Y., pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute "crack" cocaine.

Hill, who is currently free on bond pending sentencing, faces a maximum sentence of 10 years to life in prison and a fine of $4 million, according to U.S. Attorney Sharon L. Potter.

· Kirk Leon Grantham, 30, of Martinsburg, pleaded guilty to one count of distribution of "crack" cocaine on May 14, 2007, in the Martinsburg Mall parking lot.

Grantham, who is currently free on bond pending sentencing, faces a maximum sentence of five to 40 years in prison and a fine of $2 million, Potter said.
