Boonsboro woman and five children reported missing



BOONSBORO - A Boonsboro woman and her five children were reported missing Thursday by the woman's estranged husband, the Washington County Sheriff's Department said in a news release.

Katherine Willard, 49, of 20502 Wilderness Run Road, and the children - ranging in age from 7 to 18 years old - were last seen at a court proceeding June 30, deputies said. The last known contact made with Willard was by telephone July 1, deputies said.

The woman is described as white, with blond hair and brown eyes, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing about 150 pounds.

The children are:

· Agne Willard, 18, white, with blond hair and blue eyes, 5 feet tall, 95 pounds

· Thomas Willard, 16, white, with brown hair and blue eyes, 5 feet 3 inches tall, 120 pounds

· Lukas Willard, 10, white, with brown hair and blue eyes, 3 feet 9 inches tall, 50 pounds

· Melissa Willard, 10, white, with brown hair and brown eyes, 3 feet 7 inches tall, 48 pounds

· Timothy Willard, 7, white, with blond hair and blue eyes, 3 feet 7 inches tall, 48 pounds

The family might be traveling in a silver GMC 15-passenger van, deputies said.

They might be accompanied by an older daughter, Jennifer Willard, 20, and her boyfriend, Christopher Anderson, 22, deputies said.

Three juveniles face charges in theft and damage of golf carts



SOUTH MOUNTAIN, Pa. - Three juveniles were charged with theft, criminal mischief and criminal trespass for allegedly stealing and damaging seven golf carts at the South Mountain Golf Course, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

Police said the incident occurred between 1:30 and 5 a.m. Saturday. The unidentified juveniles also damaged two greens and stole several bags of aluminum cans, police said.




Police investigating theft of copper pipe from Antrim Township storage building



CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - The theft of 100 feet of copper pipe from an Antrim Township storage building was being investigated by Pennsylvania State Police.

Police said 50 feet of 1/2-inch and 50 feet of 3/4-inch pipe was stolen from the building at 674 Clayhill Road between June 28 and Thursday.




Fuel tank stolen from Frederick construction site



FREDERICK, Md. -- The Maryland State Police are investigating the theft of a 500-gallon fuel tank from a construction site at 5100 Buckeystown Pike in Frederick, according to a news release from the state police.

The tank contained about 430 gallons of red dye diesel fuel valued at $1,827, police said. Authorities believe the tank was stolen between Friday and early this morning.

Police charge woman in Frederick stabbing



FREDERICK, Md. - Police say a 21-year-old Frederick County woman stabbed the man she lives with Sunday morning during a fight over having to go to work that morning.

Police say the 24-year-old man pushed the woman to the ground, held her down and began to choke her. The woman retrieved a small pocket knife from her pocket and stabbed the man in his left side, police said. The man let go of the woman and she left the house.

When police arrived at their home in the 8700 block of Liberty Road, the man was still in the kitchen bleeding profusely from the stab wound, police said. He was taken to Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown, where he was treated and released.

The woman, Holly Ann Jerry, was charged with first- and second-degree assault, police said.

Police were continuing to investigate the incident.




No one hurt in I-81 accident in Franklin County



SCOTLAND, Pa. - No one was injured in a one-vehicle crash on Interstate 81 near Woodstock Road in Franklin County, Pa., on Saturday, Pennsylvania State Police said in a news release.

A 2003 Toyota Camry was driving north in the right lane of I-81 just before 4 p.m. when traffic in front of the car slowed down, police said. The road was wet and the Camry traveled into the left lane and started to spin counterclockwise, then clockwise, police said. It traveled back to the right lane before striking a grassy ditch off the right side of the road, police said.




Greencastle woman, Hagerstown man charged in attemped vehicle theft



GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Two people conspired to have a woman's vehicle towed to one of their homes in an attempted theft late last month, according to a Pennsylvania State Police press release.

Kimberly Anne Stokes, 45, of Greencastle, and William Randolph Heise, 54, of Hagerstown, were charged with theft, police said.

Stokes posed as the vehicle's owner to have it towed from Talhelm's Gas Station in Antrim Township to Heise's home, police said.

The theft happened between June 24 at 9 a.m. and June 25 at 10:30 a.m., police said.
