FREDERICK, Md. -- A Keymar, Md., man died Friday from injuries he sustained in a Wednesday night accident in Frederick County, according to a Frederick County Sheriff's Office press release.

Billy Jo Lee Stone, 23, was pronounced dead Friday at the Baltimore Shock Trauma Center, police said.

The accident occurred Wednesday about 11:30 p.m. on Detour Road near Haughs Church Road. Stone was southbound on Detour Road in a 1992 Chevrolet S-10 when the vehicle crossed into the northbound lane and continued off the road before going back onto the road, police said. Stone overcorrected, causing the vehicle to rotate clockwise before striking a dirt embankment, police said.

As the vehicle continued up the embankment, it started to overturn in a counterclockwise manner, slamming onto the passenger-side roof, police said. The vehicle overturned once more before sliding on the roof across both lanes of Detour Road, police said. The vehicle continued off the road and down an embankment, and Stone was ejected from the vehicle, police said.
