Scouts help with opening ceremonies at Hagerstown Suns game

The Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts of the Mason-Dixon Council were honored at the Hagerstown Suns game on May 31.

The flag ceremony was conducted by Troop 2, Hagerstown. The Scouts and leaders marched around the outfield and were recognized in front of the fans.

Cub Scout Samuel Henry, from Pack 36, Hagerstown, had the honor of throwing out the first pitch for the game.

After to game, approximately 100 Scouts camped out on the outfield. They were treated to the movie "Star Wars VI - Return of the Jedi." In the morning, a church service was conducted by local Scouts and leaders.

The Mason-Dixon Council serves youths in Washington, Franklin and Fulton counties.
