Blaze win another tourney

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. -- The Mason Dixon Blaze Red 14U team recently claimed its third championship of the season, winning the USSSA Tug of War Tournament.

For the tourney, pitcher Rachel Kline had three wins, including a perfect game, and two saves. Katie Shaak batted .500, Brittany Norling batted .474 and Shayna Baughman batted .333.


Let There Be Light 5K

The Let There Be Light 5K will be held July 26 in Hagerstown, starting and ending at Municipal Stadium.

Registration begins at 7:15 a.m. and the race starts at 8:30.

Basketball tournament

The Win or Go Home Basketball Tournament will be held July 26-27 at the Salvation Army Playground in Hagerstown.

The winning prize is $500.
