BOONSBORO -- Aaron Cantler led South Mountain with two hits and five RBIs in a losers' bracket contest.

Jamie Bryner had three hits and eight RBIs and J.C. Munson had three hits and four RBIs for Hancock.

South Mountain hosts Clear Spring today while Hancock is eliminated.

WILLIAMSPORT -- Waynesboro jumped to an early 9-2 lead and held off Williamsport (8-6).

Seth Poffenberger had three hits and Josh Cline had two hits for Williamsport.


Yost qualifies for U.S. Amateur

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. -- Chambersburg High School golf coach Mark Yost qualified for the Pennsylvania Amateur Championship to be played July 28-30 at Saucon Valley Country Club in Bethlehem, Pa.

Yost shot a 1-under-par 72 at Chambersburg Country Club, one of three qualifying sites throughout the state on Monday.

Other area notables, including Kevin Reiber, Alec Kessler, Darryn DeShong, Ryan Coccagna, Jake Wetzel, Christian Breed, Scott Barrows and Derek Baker, missed the cut.

Waynesboro's Chad Bricker and Chambersburg's Clayton Rotz are already in the field with exempt status.
