Hagerstown man charged in apparent stabbing
A Hagerstown man faces attempted second-degree murder charges after he allegedly stabbed another man in the face during a fight Sunday afternoon, Hagerstown Police said.
Chris Connolly, 21, also was charged with first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and carrying a concealed weapon, Sgt. Tom Langston said.
The assault, which happened at about 4 p.m. in the 100 block of East Antietam Street, stemmed from a dispute over a girlfriend, Langston said.
Washington County Hospital reported the incident to Hagerstown Police after a man walked in with stab wounds and cuts to his face and shoulder area, Langston said.
