Grace Academy graduate credited with founding Missions Team

June 29, 2008

Robert Wolfe III, a Grace Academy graduating senior this year, founded the missions team in 2003 when he was in seventh grade.

He had a vision for students in grades 7 through 12 to be a light into the community and to do service projects in the name of Jesus Christ.

The missions team began with six members, and participated in six events in 2003.

The 2007-08 missions team had more than 50 members, and participated in 19 different projects. This service group has led craft projects for the Boys and Girls clubs, helped with a Christmas party for children of inmates, stuffed stockings for The Salvation Army, bagged food at Food Resources, assisted in bingo parties for nursing homes and at Easter Seals, and helped prepare the REACH shelter for its winter season.

These are just a few of the activities that the missions team participated in this year.
