Topics discussed at the seminar included "Obesity in Teenagers," "Bipolar Mood Disorder Issues," "Urinary Tract Infections" and "Reflux in Small Children."

Furniture Market



WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Greg Starliper, delivery manager at Furniture Market and Schier's Furniture, recently was recognized for five years of service.

Starliper has been instrumental in implementing new procedures to streamline deliveries to customers. He has not received any traffic violations and has been accident free with a nearly 100 percent on-time customer delivery schedule in the five years he has been with the company.

Jack Gaughen Realtor ERA



WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Jean Rosenberger of the Waynesboro office of Jack Gaughen Realtor ERA recently earned a position in ERA's 90+ Club for sales associates for 2007.

Membership in the club is based on the buying and selling experiences of consumers.

Rosenberger has been a licensed Realtor with the Waynesboro ERA office since 1982.

Roxbury Correctional Institution



Sgt. Roland Silver, a correctional officer sergeant on the 7-3 shift, recently was named Employee of the Month at Roxbury Correctional Institution.

Silver received the award for preventing contraband from entering the institution and implementing an intensified entrance procedure.

Silver has been employed by RCI since November 2000.

The following personnel moves recently were announced by The Herald-Mail.

· Crystal Schelle has been named assistant lifestyle editor.

Schelle is a graduate of Clear Spring High School, and has a journalism degree from Morehead (Ky.) State University and an A.A. from Hagerstown Community College.

She was Living editor of The Journal in Martinsburg, W.Va., since 2000. Prior to that, she spent a year as a reporter at The Journal. From 1997 to 1999, she was editor of Picket News in Hagerstown.

· Justin Harris has been rehired as a part-time assistant in circulation in the company's Hagerstown distribution center.

Harris was a former part-time Loop sales representative for the company and an assistant zone manager in circulation. He previously worked for Fountain Head Country Club and Putt Putt Golf and Games in Frederick, Md.

Harris is a graduate of North Hagerstown High School and Hagerstown Community College.

Cain will concentrate on developing the Western Maryland and West Virginia residential market.

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Dr. Stephen Bui of Advanced Chiropractic, Foot & Ankle Care recently attended the American Podiatric Medical Association conference in Atlantic City, N.J.

The conference offered lectures and hands-on workshops with the latest surgical techniques and treatment modalities.

Bui has been in active family podiatric practice since 2001.

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - The following people have joined advisory councils at Orrstown Bank.

· Fred Gettys has joined Orrstown Bank's Camp Hillsory Council.

Gettys has been involved in developing, building and managing various real estate enterprises over the past 40 years in York and Cumberland counties in Pennsylvania, as well as in Florida. He presently is focusing on residential subdivision development in the Carlisle area.

Gettys is a graduate of New Cumberland High School, and attended Gettysburg (Pa.) College before joining the U.S. Air Force and serving in the Korean War.

· Lorin L. Stough has joined Orrstown Bank's Silver Spring Advisory Council.

Stough is the owner of NETwork Promotions and Clear Springs Rentals, as well as secretary/treasurer and financial consultant for Williams' Excavating Ltd., general partner of Quad Associates and president of T&J Leasing Inc.

Stough is a 1968 graduate of Shippensburg University, where he earned a bachelor of science degree in education.
