Mia N'shae Shaffer, 3

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Mia N'shae Shaffer, 3, of 265 E. Catherine St., died Tuesday, June 24, 2008, at Chambersburg Hospital.

Born Nov. 30, 2004, in Waynesboro, Pa., she was the daughter of Misty D. Jones and Christopher Shaffer.

She attended John Wesley AME Zion Church in Chambersburg.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by one sister, Kristianna Shaffer; two brothers, Daymonie C. Hickok and Darious Shaffer; maternal grandparents, Deitrick and Theresa Davis of Waynesboro, and paternal grandparents, Melvin and Amelia Shaffer of Fayetteville, Pa.

Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home in Chambersburg. The Rev. Allie Harper will officiate. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery.

Dorothy M. Isard, 65

Dorothy Marie "Dottie" Isard, 65, of Hagerstown, died Thursday, June 26, 2008 at Washington County Hospital.

Born April 1, 1943 in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Everett Lawrence and Dorothy Leona Mongan Smith.

She was employed with the Hagerstown Suns.

She was a member of Manor Church of the Brethren.

She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Harry G. Isard; four sons, Allen Morris and Jeffery Morris, both of Hagerstown, Ronald Morris of Rock Hill, S.C., and William Morris of Frederick, Md.; one sister, Carol A. Forcino of Boonsboro; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Alice Smith and Barbara Huntzberry.

Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Manor Church of the Brethren. The Rev. Joy E. Zepp will officiate. Burial will be at Manor Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home in Boonsboro.

Lorraine A. Harne, 72



APRIL 4, 1936-JUNE 26, 2008

WOLFSVILLE, Md. - Lorraine A. Harne, 72, of Martin Road, died Thursday, June 26, 2008, at Washington County Hospital.

Born April 4, 1936, in Wolfsville, she was the daughter of the late John M. Bear Sr. and Harrie M. Eccard Bear.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold G. Harne in 1990.

She was a graduate of Middletown High School with the class of 1954.

She was employed by South Mountain Rod and Gun Club in Smithsburg.

She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church of Wolfsville.

She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of South Mountain Rod and Gun Club.

She is survived by one daughter, Joyce J. Feuerstein of Wolfsville; one sister, Charlotte Morgan of Middletown, Md.; one stepgrandson, Todd D. Feuerstein; nieces; and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Effie Keller and Catherine Frushour; and three brothers, Robert Bear, Lloyd Bear and Sonny Baer.

Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Salem United Methodist Church. Pastor Randy Reid will officiate. Burial will be at Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery in Wolfsville.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at J. L. Davis Funeral Home in Smithsburg.




John A. Routhier, 81



1927-JUNE 25, 2008

HARPERS FERRY, W.Va. - John Albert Routhier, 81, of Harpers Ferry, died Wednesday, June 25, 2008, at Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

Born in 1927 in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Albert Joseph Routhier and Grace Katherine Florine Routhier.

He was employed as a machinist at Watkins-Johnson.

He served in the U.S. Army-Air Force and Merchant Marines.

He was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Charles Town, W.Va.

He was a member of VFW and DAV.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Pelarski Routhier; three daughters, Glenna M. Routhier of Boyds, Md., Grace A. Routhier of Poolesville, Md., and Joan E. Mazurowski of Dunnellon, Fla.; two sons, John D. Routhier of Jefferson, Md., and Mark A. Routhier of Frederick, Md.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a half-brother, James E. Routhier.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 1 p.m. at St. James Catholic Church, with the Rev. Brian Owens as celebrant. Military graveside services will be at St. Peter Cemetery in Harpers Ferry.

The family will receive friends at Jefferson Chapel Funeral Home in Ranson, W.Va., Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.

Henry R. Kolda, 88

QUINCY, Pa. - Henry R. Kolda, 88, of Quincy United Methodist Home and formerly of 120 S. Oller Ave., Waynesboro, Pa., died Thursday, June 26, 2008, at the nursing home.

Born Dec. 6, 1919, in Fountaindale, Pa., he was the son of the late Henry and Maude Reed Kolda.

He was preceded in death his wife, Eva F. Frank Kolda, in 2007. They were married Oct. 25, 1947.
