Crews to install water, sewer lines on Jonathan Street

Beginning at 7 a.m. Monday, work crews from Ardent Company, LLC will begin the installation of temporary water lines and new sanitary sewer lines in the 200 Block of Jonathan Street. Jonathan Street, including the Church Street intersection, will be closed to all traffic. A full detour plan will be implemented to direct traffic around the work area. Motorists approaching the work zone will encounter cones, barricades, detour signs, and other traffic control devices. It is estimated that this intersection will be closed for approximately one week. Emergency vehicles will not be able to pass through the 200 Block of Jonathan Street once this work begins.

Work crews to complete Streetscape improvements on South Potomac Street

Weather permitting, on Tuesday, work crews will be completing the Streetscape Improvements in the block of South Potomac Street from Washington Street (Public Square) to Antietam Street. The block will be closed from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. to allow for the installation of pavement markings and traffic control lines. Emergency vehicles will not be able to pass through the work zone.
