Motorcycle ride to benefit Humane Society of Washington County

The fifth annual Bone to Be Wild Dave Alderson Memorial Motorcycle Ride benefit for the Humane Society of Washington County is scheduled for Sunday, July 20.

Registration begins at 10 a.m. at Harley-Davidson: Buell of Williamsport, 10210 Governor Lane Blvd. The ride will commence at 11 a.m. and the destination is Camp Harding Park.

A picnic lunch will be served and riders will enjoy music provided by The Spotlights on You DJ. A specially designed ride pin will be given to the first 100 registered riders.

The cost for pre-registered riders is $20, which includes an official ride T-shirt, a pin to the first 100 riders, a picnic lunch and music. Day of event cost is $25, with T-shirts available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Peggy Bushey began the event in memory of her husband, Dave Alderson, an avid Harley-Davidson fan. Last year's event helped the 75 horses rescued from a farm in Sharpsburg in 2006.
