Art glass exhibit to begin this week

The Washington County Museum of Fine Arts in Hagerstown City Park will host an art glass exhibit beginning Saturday. The "Art Glass of the Golden Age" exhibit will showcase a vast array of glassware created in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. For more information, go to www.wcmfa.org.

Hagerstown Market in the Square

Be sure to get out from behind that desk, enjoy the summer weather and talk a stroll through downtown Hagerstown for the Hagers-town City Farmers Market. The market will be set up in the downtown public square Thursday, July 3, beginning at 8 a.m. Many vendors will be on hand with food items, produce and crafts. Rain date will be Friday, July 4. Music after work set for downtown

An after-work downtown concert is scheduled for Thursday, July 3. Events are set to kick off at 5 p.m. at the University Plaza in downtown Hagerstown. Music will be performed by the Shades. The concert is free and open to the public. Beverages will be sold by the Washington County Arts Council to raise money to support the arts through programs such as this music series. Annual Salute to Independence

Join the Maryland Symphony Orchestra for the 23rd Annual Salute to Independence celebration at the Antietam National Battlefield on Saturday, July 5.
