Nine pairs competed Friday, June 20, during a meeting of the Little Heiskell Duplicate Bridge Club. Alan Brown and Frank Carden finished first in the A stratum with a 59.03-percent game. Dick and Lois Taylor finished second in Flight A with 56.94 percent, and Barbara Beard and Barbara Burkhartd came in third in Flight A and first in Flights B and C with 54.17 percent. Tom Janus and David placed fourth in Flight A with 53.47 percent, and Aurora and Bruce McDonough were second in Flight B with 49.31 percent.

Plans are under way for the sixth annual two-session Swiss Team Charity Bridge Event sponsored by The Little Heiskell Club to raise money for Food Resources, Inc. The game, known as They Play Bridge So Others Can Eat, will be played Sunday, July 20, at the South End Fire Hall, with dinner served between sessions.
