Harford County team wins Maryland Envirothon

ANNAPOLIS - A five-member team of high school students from Harford Christian School in Harford County is the winner of the 18th annual Maryland Envirothon - an outdoor natural resources competition that challenges students to identify and categorize living resources, perform soil surveys and solve other complex natural resource issues. More than 100 challengers from 19 counties across Maryland took part in this year's competition. The event was June 17-19 at the Harford Glen Environmental Education Center in Harford.

At this year's competition, the Harford Christian School team scored 525.33 points out of a possible 600. They were followed by teams from Allegany County (509.33 points), Carroll County (509.67 points), Washington County (496.17) and Montgomery County (480.08).
