SALISBURY, Md. - Caitlin Marie Flagg of Williamsport graduated May 7 from Salisbury University with a bachelor of arts in Spanish and a minor in communications. She is a member of Alpha Sigma Tau sorority.

She is a 2004 Williamsport High School graduate.

FROSTBURG, Md. - Rebecca Slate, of Hagers-town, has been named to the dean's list at Frostburg State University for the spring semester.

She is the daughter of Robert and Rebecca Slate.

To be eligible for the dean's list, a student must complete a minimum of 12 credit hours and earn a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.4 on a 4.0 scale.

Alyson B. Daughtridge of Hagerstown is a member of the graduatinh class of 2008 at Eastern Mennonite University, Harrisonburg, Va.

She received a MA degree in counseling.

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - Kathryn Langas of Williamsport was named to the dean's list at Georgia College and State University for the spring semester.


Stephanie Bloom, a 2005 Williamsport High School grad, graduated from Salem International University.

She doubled up on classes and graduated one year early.

She received a bachelor of science in business administration with a concentration in international business degree.

Stephanie has left for a five-week study abroad, titled "Business and Politics in the European Union."

She will go to London, then to Paris, Brussels, Strasbourg, Frankfurt, Prague and Berlin.

Stephanie is the daughter of Steven and Pamela Bloom.

Christina Cushwa of Clear Spring has been named to the dean's list at Frostburg State University for the spring semester.

BEREA, Ohio - Kirsten Larson of Myersville, Md., was named to the dean's list for the spring semester at Baldwin-Wallace College.

Students who receive at least a 3.5 grade-point average for seven or more graded hours in a single semester are named to the dean's list.

GROVE CITY, Pa. - Rebekah Gayman of Greencastle, Pa., was among the 570 students who graduated from Grove City College on May 17.

She earned a bachelor of arts degree in philosophy.

She is the daughter of Lynn and Susan Gayman of Greencastle. She is a 2004 home-schooled graduate.

Courtney Brown, a Smithsburg graduate, was named to the dean's list for both the fall and spring semesters at Shippensburg University.

She is an accounting major at the John L. Grove College of Business.

Throughout this past income tax season, Courtney participated in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program, a nationwide nonprofit tax preparation program set up by the Internal Revenue Service.

The free service was available to families and individuals with incomes less than $40,000 per year.

Courtney was one of about 32 students who volunteered her time through the week and on Saturdays to help out the community's low to middle income families.

Vanessa Marydee Patterson, daughter of Paz S. and John L. Patterson of Hagerstown graduated from Mount St. Mary's University in Emmitsburg, Md., with a bachelors of science in Mathematics.

Vanessa remained on scholarship for the four years she studied at the Mount and stayed on the dean's list from her sophomore through her senior year. Because of Vanessa's superior achievements in the field of mathematics, she was inducted into Pi Mu Epsilon, the National Honorary Mathematics Society.

In the first semester of her senior year, Vanessa studied at the Dublin Business School in Ireland. She completed an internship at Vivas Health, the third largest insurance company in Ireland.

Vanessa was accepted into Georgetown University's graduate school. She will work on her master's of science in mathematics and statistics there.

Mallory S. Geesaman has been inducted into the Kappa Delta Pi Educational Honor Society through Lambda Eta at Clarion University of Pennsylvania.

She is the daughter of Terry Geesaman of Waynesboro, Pa., and Lori and Steven Wriston of Hagers-town.

Her grandparents are Susan and Larry McBride of Waynesboro and Tom Smith, Waynesboro, and Dolores Geesaman, Waynesboro

Tamara Susan Frey of Hagerstown recently graduated from Shepherd University with a bachelor of arts degree.

She is a graduate of Williamsport High School.

She is a preschool teacher at Waynesboro (Pa.) Day Care Center.

She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nevin Frey.

SEARCY, Ark. - Andrea Bowen of Williamsport has been named to the dean's list at Harding University for the spring semester.

She is a senior majoring in middle level math and science education.

EASTON, Pa. - Andrew Sheahan Jameson of Hagerstown, Aaron Michael Buchman of Williamsport, Brian Patrick Wolz of Knoxville, Md., and Michael Thomas DiGirolamo of Frederick, Md., have been named to the dean's list for the spring semester at Lafayette College.
