Tri-State Civitan Club hosts annual variety show

June 22, 2008

The Tri-State Civitan Club presented a variety show May 21 for students at Marshall Street School and Job Development Center and clients of Arc of Washington County, Star Community and other groups.

John Dodge, magician and leader of the group, made a big hit with the audience. Jack Stanton played guitar and sang, with audience members Danny Gordon, Happi Cryer and Rason Paterson from the JDC demonstrated hand motions - much to the delight of their fellow students.

Kris Jones from Spectrum Support Day Services helped Kevin Brown the clown catch rings.

Civitan member Rick Bernier, the show coordinator and member Carolyn Blitz said the event was made possible by donations from residents and buisnesses.

The nonprofit club helps people with developmental disabilities.
