Aitken Sadlik Architects

Aitken Sadlik Architects of Rockville, Md., recently received a historic preservation award for their new construction in-fill dwelling at 1342 The Terrace in Hagerstown.

A certificate of recognition from the Preservation Design District Commission of Hagerstown was presented by Mayor Robert E. Bruchey II at the May 20 meeting of the City Council.

Robert W. Hershey, chairman of the Hagerstown Preservation Commission, said the design was so "sympathetic" to its surroundings in terms of design, size and lot placement that one would think the dwelling was part of the original neighborhood.
