Robert L. Anderson, 77

OCT. 5, 1930-JUNE 19, 2008

INWOOD, W.Va. - Robert Lee Anderson, 77, of Inwood, died Thursday, June 19, 2008, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

Born Oct. 5, 1930, in Berkeley County, W.Va., he was the son of the late Francis and Nellie Anderson.

He was a graduate of Martinsburg (W.Va.) High School.

He served in the U.S. Army and retired as a senior master sergeant with the 167th Tactical Airlift Wing, West Virginia Air National Guard, with 36 years of service.

He was a member of South Berkeley Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mildred Bender Anderson; and one daughter, Tina Poland of Burlington, W.Va.

A memorial graveside service with military honors will be Monday at 11 a.m. in Rosedale Cemetery, Martinsburg. Pastor Dwane Casteel will officiate.

Samuel L. Hardy Sr., 42

HARPERS FERRY, W.Va. - Samuel Leon Hardy Sr., 42, of Harpers Ferry, died Wednesday, June 18, 2008, at Frederick (Md.) Memorial Hospital.

Born Oct. 5, 1965, in Ranson, W.Va., he was the son of Patricia Darr and stepson of Harry Darr of Harpers Ferry, and the son of Daniel L. Hardy of Roanoke, Va.

He was a concrete finisher with S.W. Rodgers Co. in Kingsville, Va.

He was a Baptist.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 23 years, Wanda L. Hardy at home; one daughter, Patricia L. Hardy of Harpers Ferry; one son, Samuel L. Hardy Jr. of Harpers Ferry; two sisters, Tammy Getts of Harpers Ferry, and Abbie Darr of Kearneysville, W.Va.; and one brother, Clayton Hardy of Harpers Ferry.

Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Eackles-Spencer and Norton Funeral Home, Harpers Ferry. The Rev. Wendell McClellan will officiate. Burial will be in St. Andrews on the Mount, Harpers Ferry.

The family will receive friends today and Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Miriam D. Keckler, 77

FEB. 22, 1931-JUNE 19, 2008

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Miriam D. Keckler, 77, of 580 Woodstock Road, died Thursday, June 19, 2008, at Chambersburg Hospital.

Born Feb. 22, 1931, in Greencastle, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Estella Angle Faust.

Her husband, Roy M. Keckler, died in 1996.

She assisted her husband with their family business, Keckler's Millwork in Chambersburg, where she worked as the bookkeeper.

She was a member of The Brethren Fellowship.

She was a member of AARP.

She is survived by two children, Cheryl Morton of McConnellsburg, Pa., and Rodney L. Keckler of Chambersburg; one sister, Genevieve McNew of Chambersburg; two brothers, Robert Faust and Dean Faust, both of Chambersburg; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Vera Angle; and two brothers, Kenneth and Chester Carl Faust.

Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg. The Rev. Manny Diaz will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

Michael D. Oberholzer, 60

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Michael D. "Mike" Oberholzer, 60, of 10811 Worleytown Road, died Thursday, June 19, 2008, at Harrisburg (Pa.) Hospital.

Born Sept. 9, 1947, in Waynesboro, Pa., he was the son of the late Cecil M. and Betty Jean Shimer Oberholzer.

He was a 1965 graduate of Greencastle High School.

He was employed as a machinist by Mack Trucks in Hagerstown for 30 years, retiring in 2003.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby M. Burall Oberholzer, whom he married Oct. 22, 1967; one daughter, Tonya R. Taccino of Mercersburg, Pa.; one son, Anthony W. Oberholzer of Waynesboro, Pa.; two sisters, Pam Beaver of Greencastle, and Gloria Jean Wacther of Zullinger, Pa.; three brothers, John Oberholzer, Greg Oberholzer and Brian Oberholzer, all of Greencastle; five grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Timothy W. Oberholzer.

Services will be at the convenience of the family.

Nathan D. Lehman, 36

MARION, Pa. - Nathan D. Lehman, 36, of 356 Colorado St., died Thursday, June 19, 2008, at his home.

Born March 8, 1972, in Chambersburg, Pa., he was the son of Clifford E. and June E. Timmons Lehman of Marion.

He was a 1993 graduate of the Franklin Learning Center in Chambersburg.

He was a member of Mercersburg (Pa.) Mennonite Church.

He was a member of Kauffman Ruritan Club of Chambersburg.
