Hagerstown woman wanted for parole violations is held in Pa.



GREENCASTLE, Pa. -- A Hagerstown woman was stopped for having expired registration on her vehicle and held on warrants out of Maryland, Greencastle police said.

Wendy Sue Waskiewicz was wanted for parole violations, stemming from larceny, police said in a news release.

Waskiewicz was taken to Franklin County Jail to await extradition to Maryland.




Items stolen from vehicle in Caldeonia Park



CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. -- Troopers this morning were investigating theft from a motor vehicle in the area of Lincoln Way East in Caledonia Park in Greene Township, Pennsylvania State Police said.

Someone took a black purse, a wallet, driver's license, Social Security card, bank card and credit card, $50 check, cash and key from the vehicle, troopers said in a news release.




Hagerstown police respond to calls



Hagerstown police recently responded to the following incidents:

June 4:

· At 9:07 p.m., drug violations were reported in the 400 block of Park Place.

June 5:

· At 10:13 p.m., drug violations were reported in the first block of West North Avenue.

Wednesday:

· At 12:15 p.m., theft was reported at D&G Liquors, 17624 Garland Groh Boulevard. Liquor was taken.

· At 2:35 p.m., forgery and theft were reported in the 200 block of North Mulberry Street. Checks and cash were taken.

· At 3:27 p.m., cruelty to animals and damage to property was reported in the first block of Berner Avenue.

· At 8:02 p.m., theft was reported in the 17800 block of Garland Groh Boulevard. A purse was taken.

· At 8:02 p.m., theft was reported in the 200 block of Alexander Street. A porch swing was taken.

· At 10:58 p.m., breaking and entering was reported in the first block of East Franklin Street. A laptop computer, video game system, game cartridges and jewelry were taken.

· At 11:33 p.m., burglary was reported in the 1000 block of Noland Drive. Paperwork was taken.

Thursday:

· At 1:19 a.m., assault was reported in the area of First Street and Maryland Avenue.

· At 11:06 a.m., theft was reported in the 200 block of North Potomac Street. A red 2007 Eton moped was taken.

· At 4:51 p.m., an altered drug test was reported in the 100 block of West Franklin Street.

· At 5:46 p.m., a second-degree assault was reported in the first block of Elgin Boulevard.

· At 10:02 p.m., property was reported stolen in the 400 block of North Mulberry Street. A wallet was taken.

Today:

· At 3:02 a.m., a strong arm robbery was reported in the 1200 block of the Dual Highway. A video game system, game, cartridge, cell phone and cash were taken.

· At 3:09 a.m., armed robbery was reported in the 300 block of East Washington Street. Cash was taken.

The Washington County Sheriff's Department responded to the following calls Thursday and today:

June 20

· Reported at 3:16 a.m., an assault on North Conococheague Street in Williamsport. A man was taken into custody.

· Reported at 6:43 a.m., malicious destruction of property, 3000 block of Harpers Ferry Road, damage to siding on house from a paintball gun.

· Reported at 6:44 a.m., malicious destruction of property, 18000 block of Mount Lock Canal Road, paintball damage to a residence.

June 19

· Reported at 3:24 p.m., auto theft, 200 block of South Main Street, Boonsboro, theft of 1988 Dodge pickup truck.

· Reported at 3:24 p.m., Malicious destruction of property at 19000 block of Spring Valley Drive, a 2004 Ford Ranger keyed overnight.

· Reported at 3:34 p.m., road rage incident, Interstate 81 between exits 4 and 5, a motorist reported that an unidentified man kicked caller's car repeatedly.

· Reported at 5:13 p.m., theft, money taken from two vehicles on 20000 block of Hog Maw Road.

· Reported at 6:43 p.m., theft from Sheetz at 17550 Virgina Ave., someone drove off without paying for $10 worth of gas.

· Reported at 7:19 p.m., a shoplifter at the Sears store, Valley Mall Road. Three women were released before deputies arrived.

· Reported at 9:06 p.m., a motorist drove away from Sheetz of Boonsboro, 20723 National Pike, without paying for $68.11 worth of gas.

· Theft from motor vehicle, 20000 block of Hog Maw Road, $50 in cash taken.

· Reported at 8:08 a.m., money taken from motor vehicle on 20000 block of Hog Maw Road.

· Reported at 10:34 a.m., a shop broken into on Porterstown Road. Undetermined what, if anything, was taken.

· Reported at 10:49 a.m., malicious destruction of property, 5000 block of Red Hill Road, near Keedysville, damage to window overnight.

· Reported at 12:34 p.m., theft from motor vehicle on 20000 block of Hog Maw Road, money taken.

· Reported at 1:27 p.m. theft reported on Smallwood Terrace.

· Reported at 1:35 p.m., breaking and entering at a house on Wagaman Road.

· Reported at 3:09 p.m., theft of a 12-foot trampoline reported on Tollgate Ridge Road near Hancock.
