Parade, 5K, music on tap for July 4 jubilee in Waynesboro

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Planning is under way for the 12th annual Summer Jubilee to be held on the Fourth of July across from Waynesboro Hospital.

The Firecracker 5K kicks off the festivities at 8:30 a.m., followed by the traditional Main Street parade sponsored by Brothers of the Brush.

The first event on the main stage will be Lucky Punk & The Chicken. Entertainment from other bands, the Waynesboro Children's Theatre Troupe and narrator John Shindledecker has been scheduled to follow.

· 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. - Craft show

· 8:30 a.m. - Firecracker 5K Race begins

· 10:30 a.m. - Fourth of July Parade sponsored by Brothers of the Brush

· Noon to 1:30 p.m. - Lucky Punk & The Chicken

· 1:45 to 2:45 p.m. - Waynesboro Children's Theatre Troupe

· 5 to 6:30 p.m. - The Old Time Radio Show - Music, Comedy & Some Surprises, hosted by John Shindledecker

· 6:30 p.m. - Pie eating contest

· 7 to 9:30 p.m. - Hicktown

· 8 p.m. - Money machine

· 9:30 p.m. - Fireworks
