Hope all is well at your house!  From what I hear, vacation plans and camp arrangements are plentiful!

Schmidt named

Brigitte Schmidt has been named coordinator of religious education for St. James Parish in Boonsboro.

She will oversee the parish's youth-faith formation for grades kindergarten through eighth grade, with approximately 120 youths enrolled. Other activities include the parish Vacation Bible School, Christmas pageant and annual All Saints Day parade in downtown Boonsboro.

VBS planned

Trinity Lutheran Church, at 64 S. Main St., invites children from age 3 to sixth grade to Vacation Bible School. The program kicks off Sunday with a picnic at 5 p.m. VBS will then start at 6:15 p.m. from Sunday to Thursday. Registration is available by visiting www.trinitylutheranboonsboro.org, or by calling 301-991-9892 or 301-733-6557. You can also register your children on the first night.

Purse and bag bingo

First Hose Co. of Boonsboro is hosting a Vera Bradley purse and bag bingo Saturday, June 28, at the fire hall. Doors open at 5 p.m., and bingo begins at 6:30 p.m. Tickets costs $25 or $30 at the door. For tickets, call the fire hall at 301-432-2348.

Class of 1973

In order to present a slideshow of all 1973 classmates, memories from high school years are being collected.  Any milestone events, including photos from weddings, birthdays, children and grandchildren. The reunion committee has been working hard to make its 35th Hometown Class Reunion at the Boonboro Legion on Saturday, Sept. 27, a memorable one.  On Friday, Sept. 26, the class will tour Boonsboro High School in celebration of its 50th year anniversary. The newsletter has been sent out in order for classmates to send photos to either Conda Slick or Denise Hall along with reservation form if you are planning to attend. Please try and send photos by July 1 or come to the next class reunion committee meeting at Dave Meyers' home on July 9, at 7 p.m.  Classmates are welcome to bring photos then or participate in the meeting.
