MIDDLETOWN, Md. -- Several men were charged Sunday with armed robbery offenses, Frederick County Sheriff's deputies said Monday.

At about 4 a.m., Sunday, deputies responded to the 100 block of Boileau Court in Middletown, where a 19-year-old man had reported he was robbed at gunpoint, deputies said in a news release. The victim said robbers had fled in a white Chevrolet Lumina, deputies said.

A Lumina was later found in the area of Ashley Court at Cedar Lawn, where three of the men were taken into custody.

The robbery victim said four men approached the victim in his front yard, demanding his wallet. One of the men displayed a handgun and fired it near the victim, deputies alleged in a news release.
