AMVETS Post 10 of Hagerstown holds dinner for volunteers

AMVETS Post 10 of Hagerstown recently hosted a dinner for volunteers and staff at the Hagerstown Veterans Administration Clinic and for post volunteers at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Martinsburg, W.Va.

Volunteers were recognized for their many hours spent helping staff who assist veterans receiving medical care at the Hagerstown and Martinsburg VA facilities.

The 45 attendees were treated to a meal, followed by remarks by the acting clinic coordinator and chief of voluntary services.

Eileen Wiggins received an award for her dedication in providing 4,700 volunteer hours to the VA.

Volunteers answer telephones and take messages for the staff at the Hagerstown clinic and provide bingo, including prizes, food and many other activities to the Martinsburg medical center.
