Boonsboro Middle School holds awards assembly

Each year, the Boonsboro Middle School eighth-grade staff holds an awards assembly at the end of the school year to honor students' hard work.

This year's assembly was June 3.

The three major awards and their recipients were:

· Francis L. Smith Award, given to the eighth-grade student with the highest cumulative grade-point average for sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade years - Paige Dutrow

· Principal's Award, given to the eighth-grade student with the second-highest cumulative grade-point average for sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade years - Shannon McClellan

· Woodmen of the World Award, given to the eighth-grade student with the highest American history grade-point average for the eighth-grade year - David Heim
