Suns pull win out of Seuss' hat

June 15, 2008

EASTLAKE, Ohio - Aaron Seuss' two-run double in the 10th inning gave the Hagerstown Suns a 5-3 victory over the Lake County Captains on Saturday as the teams completed Friday's suspended game.

The Suns and Captains played a seven-inning game later Saturday night. That game was still in progress at press time.

Brandon Whiting led off the 10th with a single to center and Daniel Lyons singled to right, with Whiting racing to third. Lyons went to second on Bill Rhinehart's groundout to third, before Seuss sent his double to left to score Whiting and Lyons.

Hagerstown trailed 3-2 entering the eighth. Rhinehart led that inning off with a walk and Seuss singled to left. Rhinehart advanced to second on a double-play grounder and scored when Lake County catcher Adam Davis let Dallas Cawiezell's pitch get past him for a passed ball.

The Suns tied the game at 2 in the top of the fourth when Michael Burgess singled, Sean Rooney doubled and Burgess scored on Mark Gildea's groundout.
