Halos at nationals

ORLANDO - The Tri-State FCA 15U Halos are 1-4 through two days in the 15U Open Division at AAU nationals.

On Thursday, the Halos lost three matches, falling Skyline 15 RoShamBo 25-7, 25-23, to Asics KIVA 15 Red 25-11, 25-16, and to OVA 15 Asics 25-15, 25-22.


On Friday, the Halos fell to Juggernaut 15 Elite 25-14, 25-17, but defeated Cajunland Brandon 25-13, 25-17.

Suns youth baseball camp

The Hagerstown Suns Youth Baseball Camp for boys and girls ages 7-12 will be held July 8-10 from 9 a.m. to noon each day at Municipal Stadium. All instruction is provided by Suns coaches and players. Players should bring their own bat, glove and cap and should arrive each day ready to play. Cost is $90 per child for all three days and includes lunch and a Suns ticket each day. Chambersburg YMCA classes

The following classes will be held at the Chambersburg YMCA:

Tai Chi: Wednesdays from June 18 through July 23 from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m. Tai Chi improves strength, balance, flexibility, coordination, wellness and mental focus for all ages. Fee for YMCA members is $15 and fee for non-members is $30.

18 Movement Qigong: Tuesdays from June 24 to Aug. 12 from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Qigong is an ancient exercise that balances the body and mind together in a relaxed manner to promote health and well-being. Fee for YMCA members is $20 and fee for non-members is $35.

Yoga: Classes run for five weeks for 75 minutes per day and are available Mondays at 5:15 p.m., Tuesdays or Thursdays at 9:15 a.m., and Wednesdays at 6 a.m.

Healthy Balance: An eight week weight loss/weight management program that educates people on nutrition, exercise and stress reduction. Healthy Balance is a lifestyle, not a diet, for people interested in becoming more fit.

Ex-Redskin Mitchell to appear in Shepherdstown
