Fire company news

On Memorial Day weekend, more than 70 members, friends and family of Maugansville Fire Co. gathered at the fire chief's house for a camping weekend and a pig roast on Sunday. The weather was beautiful and all in attendance had a great time.

Maugansville Fire Co. wants to thank everyone who supported the last chicken barbecue, which was a sell-out. They cooked chicken in the rain, but it all turned out well and they had lots of compliments. The next barbecue will be Saturday, June 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Challenger League

The Challenger League is a league where physically and mentally challenged children can play baseball. The league usually has games on Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings; however, on Saturday, they will have a special game where they can play on the major league field under the lights at 7 p.m. Come out and show your support. Showing support to this great program would mean a lot to these players knowing that they have fans there to cheer them on.
