Social Services holds annual Recognition Day

The Washington County Department of Social Services held its 19th Annual Employee Recognition Day on Friday, April 18, at its headquarters at 122 N. Potomac St. in Hagerstown.

State Sen. Don Munson, Del. Chris Shank and County Administrator Greg Murray visited the facility and addressed the employees and thanked them for the service they provide to the citizens of Washington County.

Rebecca Pace, a motivational speaker, provided an inspirational message about "Delivering Exceptional Customer Service in the Public Sector."

The day's activities included an awards luncheon during which employees were recognized for their outstanding performance and contributions and participation in the agency's Continuous Quality Improvement Program, which has been in place for 10 years.

Four employees were honored as Employees of the Year in their respective divisions:

Nancy Hopkins - Adult, Child, and Family Services Division
