The chapter lost one of its dear members this past week. Jean Milburn, a TOPS member for quite a few years, will be missed.

Linda Lemen led the program on "Pure Energy," She said when taking on an exercise program, you start slow and build.

The chapter welcomed a new member, Joan, and will give her the support she needs to attain her goal.

Members are again collecting items to send overseas to soldiers they know. The troops received the most recent packages and were happy to share them with their friends.

Gordana Ritchie won the weekly "Get-R-Done" contest with a 5 3/4-pound loss.

Today's meeting will be TOPS T-shirt day. Awards for May will be presented. Visitors are always welcome. Meetings are every Monday at First Christian Church, 1345 Potomac Ave. Weigh-in is from 7:15 to 9:20 a.m. and the meeting is from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. For more information, call Donna at 301-223-8143 or Patsy at 301-582-2292.

TOPS 446

The TOPS (Take off Pounds Sensibly) Chapter 446 members had some of the season's first vegetables to take home with them after the meeting June 4. They were so happy the local fruit and vegetable season is getting started.

Members plan to talk about some of the first early vegetables, cucumbers and zucchini, the different ways to use them and how good they are for a person, at Wednesday's meeting. They enjoy sharing with visitors.

Through the summer, the group meets each Wednesday at Shiloh United Methodist Church, 19731 Shiloh Church Road, Hagerstown, for weigh-in from 8 to 8:20 a.m. The meeting is from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., followed by walking.
