Hagerstown's Little Heiskell bridge club posts results

Nineteen pairs competed Friday, June 6, in the annual worldwide bridge game during a meeting of the Little Heiskell Duplicate Bridge Club.

In the overall results, Dick and Lois Taylor finished first in Flight A with a 68.25-percent game. Carl Herrick and Bob Munger were second in Flight A and first in Flight B with 62.54 percent, and David Abuhove and Tom Janus placed third in Flight A with 59.07 percent. Barbara Burkhardt and Alan Brown came in fourth in Flight A, second in Flight B, and first in Flight C with 55.10 percent, and Ann Lebherz and Willa Garner were fifth in Flight A and third in Flight B with 55.06 percent. Mel Lubart and Kurt Kilhefner placed sixth in Flight A with 54.38 percent. Debbie and Scott Kiser finished fourth in Flight B and second in Flight C with 52.42 percent.

In the North/South direction, Anne Carden and Iris Yonetz finished fourth in Flight A with 50.68 percent, and Irene and John Schmehl were second in Flight B and first in Flight C with 50.31 percent.

These scores will be compared with players worldwide who played the same hands.

The Little Heiskell Duplicate Bridge Club meets at 7:30 p.m. Fridays at the American Legion on Northern Avenue. All bridge players are welcome. For more information, call 301-797-4627.
