Kathryn Louise Kershner of Hagerstown, announces the engagement of her daughter, Sally Katherine Kershner, to Paul Stephen Balestrieri, son of John and Barbara Balestrieri of Palm City, Fla., and the late Theresa Balestrieri. Miss Kershner also is the daughter of the late Marvin Reed Kershner.

Miss Kershner is a 1993 graduate of North Hagerstown High School and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in fashion design from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, N.Y., in 1997. She is employed at Lee Andersen in Laurel, Md.

Mr. Balestrieri is a 1995 graduate of Washingtonville High School in Washingtonville, N.Y. He is a petty officer first class in the U.S. Navy.


An Oct. 31, 2008, wedding is planned.


Christina Wilson and Timothy Lease announce their engagement.

Miss Wilson is the daughter of Judith Thompson, and Steven and Sharon Wilson of Greencastle, Pa. She is a 1997 graduate of Boonsboro Senior High School and a 2003 graduate of Hagerstown Community College with a degree in radiology. She is employed as a radiographer in Maryland.

Mr. Lease is the son of Larry and Patricia Lease of Westminster, Md. He is a 1993 graduate of Francis Scott Key Senior High School and is employed by the State of Maryland.

An Oct. 4, 2008, wedding is planned.


Debra L. Burger and Roy L. Harsh announce their engagement.

Ms. Burger is the daughter of Robert R. and J. Theresa Burger of Clear Spring, and Lee Willman of West Virginia. Mr. Harsh is the son of the late George L. Harsh Sr. and Violet E. Harsh.

Ms. Burger is a graduate of Clear Spring High School and Hagerstown Community College. She is employed by the Washington County Health Department.

Mr. Harsh is a graduate of Williamsport High School. He is employed by the Washington County Sheriff's Department.

An August, 2008 wedding is planned.


Peggy L. Seville and Donald H. Robinson announce their engagement.

Ms. Seville is the daughter of the late Fred Seville Sr. and Marie Seville.

Mr. Robinson is the son of the late Lester and Olive Robinson.

Ms. Seville was a caregiver for her parents.

Mr. Robinson is retired and works part time with K-Mart in Hagerstown.

A Sept. 13, 2008, wedding is planned.
